We are a neighborhood of 540 single family homes and townhomes located in the Churchland area of Portsmouth, VA bordering Hoffler's Creek Wildlife Preserve.  The Long Point subdivision was built in the 1980's and features a beautiful manmade lake that provides a waterfront for several properties.  The League (through its Membership Dues) maintains five flower beds at the Long Point Boulevard and Hoffler Creek entrances.  This entails the purchase of flowers, plants, mulch, soil and irrigation systems using city water.  Volunteers provide the labor!  Neighborhood children enjoy visiting the Civic League Booth on Halloween for Trick or Treat.  Additional events are planned throughout the year..

        We hold our Civic League meetings at St. Mark United Methodist Church quarterly

(January, April, June & October) on the third Thursday at 7:30pm  We are committed to

keeping our residents involved and informed!  Come take a look around and become a part
